Northern Arizona University (NAU) was struggling in an increasingly competitive marketplace as out-of-state institutions as well as in-state public universities were becoming more aggressive in their recruiting. We helped reverse a five-year trend in declining enrollment, raise awareness about NAU’s statewide presence, build internal pride, engage alumni and influencers, and take control of the NAU narrative. Total enrollment grew 7 percent, online enrollment grew 9 percent, and undergraduate enrollment grew 7.7 percent.

Design-Build
NAU is continually innovating and adapting to meet the needs of students from across the state and beyond, but its website just wasn’t keeping up. The focus was unclear and conversions on the Request for Information form were down. The site was used as a catchall for internal content making it bewildering for prospective students who were looking for specific program information. Our solution was to design and develop a new site—laser-focused on the prospective student user experience.
